Recipe Thursday!

Welcome to Recipe Thursdays!
I had this nice paragraph written and then my computer crashed (ARGH!!!) so now you will get the shortened version.  School is almost done, (and boy are we glad about that.  We have been super busy trying to finish school, plant our garden, general cleaning and upkeep, plus trying to find family time.  So today you will get a super simple recipe that everyone loves–Chocolate Milk!
Now I don’t know about your kids, but I know that mine sure love chocolate milk.  Well, I should say they love milk, but they especially love it when its chocolate!!  We are currently only milking one cow, but we still get over 4 gallons a day!  There are a few reasons I went looking for a homemade version of nesquick
1. I have a strong aversion to shopping, so anything I can make at home out of ingredients I already buy in bulk is a huge plus
2. Who wants all those additives in their milk anyway?
3. It is SOOO easy to make yourself!
4. Did I mention how much my kids love chocolate milk? (okay, okay, its not *just* my kids that drink it!)  We really need this stuff in bulk!
Homemade Chocolate Milk Mix
2 C. Sugar
1 C. Cocoa
1 tsp. Salt
Mix well and add to a container, (I like to use a quart canning jar).  To serve, use a heaping spoonful (or two! I will leave that up to your discretion), and I would also recommend using about 1 T of hot water added to the chocolate powder and mix well in your cup before adding the milk, (this will help the cocoa mix in well).  There you have it!
I will soon be sending out a recipe for homemade bug spray.  Pretty easy and so much better for you than the store stuff…plus it really works!  I am really loving my body splash and we are going to start making the body butter, soap and body splash available in the same scents (and extra savings when you buy all three)!!!!
